FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Before we meet.
What happens in a session, what you can share and how we work together. A few pointers to help you get started.
Appointments and fees →How many sessions might I need?
I offer focused work on the issue that brings you here. The number of sessions depends on your situation and what we want to work on together; it cannot be fixed in advance.
How long is a session?
An individual session lasts 1 hour. A couples session lasts 2 hours, giving us time to work together.
What happens in the first session?
We clarify what brings you here. You share the information that feels useful, and I ask a few questions to complete the picture. We identify some initial directions and a small plan for our work. If medical advice is needed, I refer you to an appropriate professional.
Do we only talk about sex?
We talk about your sexuality as much as needed. Depending on what brings you here, we may also explore your emotions, your relationships or the cultural context that shapes your experience.
Does sex therapy involve medical procedures?
My work does not involve a medical examination, undressing or physical contact. If your situation calls for medical advice or care, I refer you for support alongside our work.
What approaches do you use?
Conversation is at the heart of the work: understanding patterns, gaining perspective and filling gaps in information. Depending on your needs, I may also suggest EFT, breathing, visualisation, light hypnosis or exercises between sessions.
What if my budget is limited?
You can write to me before booking to discuss it. Current fees are listed on the Appointments page.
When will sessions resume?
I am on maternity leave until January 2027. The exact return date and booking availability will be announced on the website. You can write to me in the meantime; replies may take longer during this period.
Do you offer sessions for premature ejaculation?
I no longer offer sessions for premature ejaculation. I recommend Étienne Vallon’s book, which you can explore and read an excerpt from on the website.
